About The Position

L3Harris Tactical Communications is seeking a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer to support our fabrication sourcing team. Successful candidates will have a technical background with experience in die casting and injection molding. This role requires the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Experience with quality systems/tools including APQP, PPAP, and part qualification desired.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Technical background with experience in die casting and injection molding.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience with quality systems/tools including APQP, PPAP, and part qualification desired.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with plastic injection molding, die casting, and magnesium alloys
Experience in Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, Corrective & Preventive Action, and Root Cause Analysis.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with suppliers to reduce variability, increase reliability and ensure on-time delivery.
Focus on problem prevention, supplier quality control, continuous improvement, and data reporting.
Facilitate Part/Process Qualification through FAI and PPAP.
Manage material Inspection Plans and methods for production material.
Collaborate with engineering, suppliers, and manufacturing for smooth transitions from concept to production.
Manage the transition from MFS to Molded production material for production material
Willingness to travel (25% or more), primarily domestic.
