About The Position

The Sr. Specialist, Project Management position will be the point-of-contact between the Program Office, Functional Management, the Customer, Supplier relationships, and other stakeholders to coordinate efforts to ensure successful resolutions of program issues. This role involves managing the material budget for assigned programs, providing accurate material forecasts, and conducting comprehensive business analysis of program material requirements and their impact on program EACs. The specialist will collaborate with various teams to define tasks, establish budgets and schedules, determine performance metrics, clarify priorities, and develop management plans. They will interact with Engineering, Planning, Procurement, and Manufacturing to ensure timely drawing releases and schedule adherence. Additionally, the role supports proposal efforts by estimating project management labor and material scope, reviewing proposals and SOWs, establishing status metrics, managing open purchase orders, resolving supplier issues, approving payments, and tracking material movement. The specialist will utilize program management tools for performance monitoring and reporting, lead Integrated Product Teams to ensure program execution, and support aircraft production and/or modification efforts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required, along with experience in SAP and BSI. The ability to obtain and maintain a DoW Security Clearance is also necessary. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with six (6) years of experience supporting production and manufacturing environments.
  • Graduate degree with four (4) years of experience supporting production and manufacturing environments.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of ten (10) years of experience supporting production and manufacturing environments.
  • Microsoft office suite is required.
  • Experience with SAP and BSI.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoW Security Clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the material budget for assigned program.
  • Provide accurate material forecast.
  • Provide comprehensive business analysis of program material requirements and manage impact to program EAC’s for all material related actions.
  • Collaborate with Program Office and Functional Management, as well as other stakeholders, to define and assign task requirements; estimate and establish budget and schedules; determine appropriate performance metrics; clarify priorities; and develop and implement specific management plans to support the program.
  • Interact with Engineering, Engineering design reviews, Planning, Procurement and Manufacturing personnel to ensure appropriate drawings are released and program schedules are achieved.
  • Provide proposal support to include estimating the scope of Project management labor and material efforts.
  • Review proposals and statements of work (SOW) to establish status metrics and reporting methods that assists with making buying decisions, follows up on open purchase orders, verifies delivery, participates in resolving supplier issues, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory cycle(s).
  • Utilize program management tools to monitor and report program performance to objectives (including budget, schedule, and other management requirements) and facilitate project coordination and decision making.
  • Lead and participate in Integrated Product Teams to ensure successful program execution and drive non-value-added costs out of the program.
  • Support aircraft production and/or modifications efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
