Responsible for full lifecycle Project Engineering support for a range of software and hardware development, assembly, integration, test, and production efforts. This role involves successfully leading a project team to meet customer requirements within allocated cost and schedule commitments. The Specialist will develop, oversee, and coordinate the cost/schedule/technical aspects of an ongoing engineering project within program guidelines, review project status and budgets, manage schedules, drive execution, identify opportunities, and deliver results through achieving payment milestones. They will assess engineering issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals, while also identifying, tracking, mitigating, managing, and dispositioning program-level risks and opportunities. The role requires estimating resource and material needs, providing coordination between resource managers/supervisors, and ensuring necessary reviews and approvals are received. Understanding Earned Value (EV) for schedule development and project management on a DCMA surveilled program is crucial. The Specialist will participate in small teams, perform a variety of tasks to drive execution, and work collaboratively in a team environment on quick reaction projects with regular customer contact. This position may work under the direction of an Enterprise level Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer/leader and requires the ability to obtain a security clearance.
