About The Position

Scout Motors is bringing back an iconic American brand, electrifying and digitizing it with American innovation. We are seeking a Sr. Specialist, Logistics JIT/JIS Process Engineer to join our team and help revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace. This role is crucial in developing and implementing Just-In-Time (JIT) and Just-In-Sequence (JIS) processes to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of modules to the assembly line. You will manage material flow, collaborate with suppliers, integrate with product planning, lead cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field with a focus on the automotive industry. An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or JIT/JIS process management within the automotive industry preferred
• Experience and knowledge of VDA, ISO and other standards and regulations for the automotive industry. Experience in performing process AUDITs is required.
• Strong understanding of Change Management principles, including steering and evaluating Change requests, and their application in automotive environments.
• Experience with route optimization and traffic management tools/software (e.g., TMS, WMS), JIS logistics, and/or material flow planning.
• Comprehensive knowledge of compliance requirements, including safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize complex processes.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-technology environment.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, driving successful execution of JIT/JIS logistics strategies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop Just-In-Time (JIT) and Just-In-Sequence (JIS) processes, concepts, and equipment to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of modules from suppliers to the point of fit on the assembly line.
• Manage and optimize both manual and automated material flow processes, covering the entire path from supplier facilities to dock doors and through internal logistics to the final point of use in production.
• Collaborate closely with JIT/JIS suppliers in the automotive industry to resolve delivery and quality issues, ensuring stable and efficient supply chain operations.
• Align logistics strategies with product planning to synchronize production schedules with material availability, ensuring seamless coordination between planning and execution.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams—including logistics, production, planning, and supplier management—to successfully execute JIT/JIS strategies and ensure alignment across all departments involved in the end-to-end material flow.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts aimed at reducing lead times, enhancing supplier performance, and optimizing logistics processes from supplier origin to final assembly fit.
• Manage the awarding of suppliers for equipment.
• Coordinate the implementation in line with SOP requirements.
