About The Position

The Senior Specialist, Procurement is responsible for ensuring the reliable supply of materials, equipment, and services at the best value while maintaining quality, delivery, inventory, and supplier performance objectives. This role supports Global Supply Management (GSM) strategies, supplier relationships, cost reduction initiatives, and procurement compliance to meet business and operational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, manufacturing operations, quality, engineering, or related functions.
  • Experience as a plant or corporate buyer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with supplier management, negotiations, and contract administration.
  • Knowledge of Global Supply Management (GSM) processes and systems.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization and on cross-functional teams.
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement experience.
  • Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting multiple business units, technologies, or manufacturing sites.
  • Global manufacturing or supply chain experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Professional supply chain certification such as CPSM, C.P.M., APICS/CPIM, or equivalent.
  • Experience with ERP systems, commodity management, and strategic sourcing.

Responsibilities

  • Execute procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with business and GSM objectives.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including supplier performance, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Lead and support supplier negotiations, contract administration, and pricing agreements.
  • Create and maintain procurement-related agreements, including supply agreements, NDAs, and certificates of insurance.
  • Drive cost savings initiatives and maintain contribution metrics tied to site and business objectives.
  • Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and lead-time metrics.
  • Support commodity reviews, market intelligence, and sourcing decisions.
  • Manage inventory levels and help minimize excess, obsolete, and slow-moving materials.
  • Serve as a liaison between Procurement, Operations, Quality, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Resolve supplier, delivery, and invoice-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with Global Buying Policies, auditing requirements, environmental regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, supply chain optimization, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Protect company intellectual property and confidential information.
