Sr. Specialist, Integration & Test Engineer
About The Position
L3Harris is seeking a mid-level Integration and Test Engineer to perform software systems integration and system test functions for the MOSSAIC C2 Space Domain Awareness (SDA) mission. The role involves Systems Engineering Integration & Test activities, including requirements development and derivation, test documentation, test execution, system troubleshooting, and defect tracking and resolution. The engineer will develop and execute test plans, procedures, and cases; conduct manual and automated testing; collaborate with engineering teams on requirements validation and verification; analyze results and resolve defects; maintain technical documentation and SysML-based system models; and support cloud environment operations using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience; or a graduate degree and at least 4 years of related experience; or at least 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to obtain TS/SCI access within 6 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Active U.S. DoW TS/SCI security clearance.
- Active Security+ CE certification.
- Basic knowledge of the Space Domain Awareness enterprise and engineering efforts.
- Familiarity with MBSE/Eggplant and similar testing tools, as well as DoW testing requirements.
- Familiarity with Jira/Confluence or equivalent tools.
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework and DevSecOps methodology.
- Experience testing Java and C++ application software.
- Proficiency in Linux.
- Proficiency in test automation software.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
Responsibilities
- Execute and assist in developing detailed test plans, procedures, and test cases based on system requirements.
- Identify, record, thoroughly document, and track defects through resolution.
- Perform manual and automated testing to verify software performance and functionality.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineers, Software Engineers, and senior Integration & Test Engineers to identify system requirements for validation and verification.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, test methodology, and potential problems.
- Analyze test results, detect issues, and track root causes with development and test teams.
- Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation, including SysML-based system models.
- Support cloud environment operations using Docker containers, Kubernetes orchestration, and Helm chart-based deployments.
