About The Position

LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. (LGESMI) develops and manufactures large lithium-ion polymer batteries and packs for electric vehicle (EV) and energy storage applications. The Sr. Specialist, Information Security will be responsible for protecting information assets through cybersecurity solutions, policies and procedures, and compliance management. This role involves monitoring the systems, managing remediation of vulnerabilities, incident response, and raising security awareness.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity systems, technologies, and architecture
Ability to conduct risk assessments and interpret security data
Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to new systems and processes
Strong written and verbal communication skills
English (Fluent)
Korean (Fluent, Optional)
Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field
6+ years of Information security experience in a corporate setting

Nice To Haves

Relevant certification (CompTIA Security+, CompTIACySa+, etc.)

Responsibilities

Monitor the system for abnormalities and data leakage
Conduct gap analysis to remediate deficiencies and improve security operations
Respond to data leakage and security incidents
Create, update, and enforce policies and standard operating procedures
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific security regulations (KNCT, ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)
ISO certification/renewal support
Support information security awareness improvement for all North America locations
Conduct site audits for compliance
Create and conduct awareness raising trainings
Security review for new devices and/or solutions
Lead and/or support the implementation of cybersecurity equipment
