About The Position

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Sr. Specialist, AI CRM Engineering to develop and integrate AI-enabled features within the Veeva CRM/Vault CRM ecosystem. This role involves working with LLM-based solutions, supporting AI/ML workflows and data integrations, prototyping Generative AI capabilities, and building AI-powered outputs for dashboards and reporting tools. The position also includes participating in agentic AI experiments, consuming ML model outputs, adhering to AI governance and responsible AI practices, and researching emerging AI/ML tools. The role requires hands-on CRM integrations, participation across the full SDLC, and contribution to reusable code components. Collaboration with global teams, code reviews, release planning, and documentation are key aspects of this position. The ideal candidate will also support communication of technical progress, participate in agile ceremonies, and work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure integrated and validated solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of overall IT experience in software development, administration, or solution delivery.
  • 2+ years of hands-on CRM experience (configuration, customization, UIX, workflows, security models, data loading, or integrations within platforms such as Veeva CRM, Salesforce, or equivalent).
  • 1.5+ years of applied AI/ML exposure (building, integrating, or testing AI/ML models, LLMs, or intelligent automation features).
  • DataBricks Experience (building, integrating, or testing using Databricks Lakehouse architecture including Databricks ETL).
  • 3+ years of experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile and/or Waterfall), including participation in validated or regulated system delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to AI/ML or analytics integrations within enterprise applications.
  • At least 1 active Technical Certification (CRM, AWS, Industry Standard AI Certifications like Anthropic, DataBricks or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities suited to a global, collaborative work environment.
  • Strong experience with Vectorization, Python, Prompt engineering, Langchain, Lang Graph, OpenAI Azure, Anthropic Claude and GCP model.
  • Strong experience with AWS, AWS API Gateway, AWS CI CD.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to executive and cross-functional audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to LLM frameworks for enterprise AI application development.
  • Familiarity with Life Sciences CRM applications such as Veeva/Vault CRM, Veeva Vault, Veeva Align, Veeva Engage, or Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud.
  • Working knowledge of Python and/or SQL for AI/ML prototyping, data manipulation, and CRM analytics tasks.
  • Experience with JavaScript, Java, SDK-based development, or scripting languages for CRM customization and automation.
  • Awareness of or participation in Generative AI or agentic AI projects in a regulated or life sciences environment, with understanding of validation and compliance considerations.
  • Exposure to commercial pharma analytics use cases (e.g., HCP targeting, call planning, field force optimization, or market access analytics).
  • Experience using CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins) in a development or deployment support capacity.
  • Familiarity with data integration patterns (REST APIs, event-driven architectures, or ETL/ELT pipelines).
  • Experience with agile tools such as Jira (sprint participation, task tracking, and stakeholder updates).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate AI-enabled features within the Veeva CRM/Vault CRM ecosystem, including LLM-based solutions.
  • Support the implementation of AI/ML workflows and data integrations connected to CRM data pipelines.
  • Assist in prototyping and evaluating Generative AI capabilities within Veeva CRM and MyInsights/X-Pages environments.
  • Build and maintain AI-powered outputs for MyInsights/X-Pages and dynamic dashboards.
  • Participate in agentic AI experiments and pilots to automate CRM workflows and data enrichment.
  • Consume and surface ML model outputs within CRM UI layers and downstream reporting tools.
  • Follow and apply AI governance and responsible AI practices.
  • Research and evaluate emerging AI/ML tools and frameworks.
  • Perform hands-on CRM integrations within Veeva CRM / Vault CRM data loading, MyInsights/X-Pages and other integrations.
  • Participate across the full SDLC lifecycle for CRM and AI-integrated business requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of reusable code components, libraries, and design patterns.
  • Apply SDLC best practices, CICD pipelines, and configuration management principles.
  • Participate in code reviews, release planning activities, and deployment readiness checks.
  • Identify and document configuration dependencies, risks, and change impacts.
  • Support enforcement of quality standards, testing documentation, and deployment checklists.
  • Collaborate actively with US, nearshore, and global team members.
  • Support onboarding activities and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Assist in communicating technical progress, risks, and issues to the engineering manager.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies — sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure solutions are fully integrated and validated.
  • Support business stakeholder demos and solution walkthroughs.
  • Actively seek feedback and coaching from the manager and senior peers.
