About The Position

The Crème Shop is seeking a proactive, resourceful Sr. Sourcing Specialist who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes ownership of outcomes. The ideal candidate will have an interest in the beauty industry, experience in supply chain management, exceptional communication skills, and fluency in Korean to facilitate communication with our manufacturing partners in Korea. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of high-quality beauty products and ensure smooth production processes.

Requirements

  • 6 – 8 years of sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience, with at least 2 years in the beauty, personal care, or consumer packaged goods industry.
  • Fluency in Korean and English (written and verbal) is required, given the nature of international supplier relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience managing supplier negotiations, contracts, and multi-category sourcing programs.
  • Strong command of ERP systems and procurement tools; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and drive data-informed decisions.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality across all deliverables and documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience sourcing from Korean, Chinese, or other Asia-Pacific suppliers, including knowledge of international trade documentation and import/export compliance.
  • Familiarity with beauty regulatory requirements, ingredient sourcing, or licensed product programs

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers to mitigate risk and expand supply base capabilities.
  • Research, evaluate, and support the qualification and onboarding of new manufacturing partners, with a focus on suppliers in Korea and China.
  • Conduct supplier negotiations on pricing, lead times, and production terms to drive cost efficiency and favorable business terms.
  • Partner with the Product Development team to assess manufacturability, material feasibility, and tooling requirements for new product launches.
  • Coordinate with the Logistics team to align production schedules with shipment and warehouse delivery timelines.
  • Track and analyze supplier performance across quality, compliance, and on-time delivery metrics; escalate issues and support corrective action plans as needed.
  • Monitor market trends, material innovations, and category developments to surface new sourcing opportunities.
  • Ensure all sourcing activities adhere to company standards, sustainability initiatives, and ethical trade policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sourcing documentation, supplier agreements, and project tracking records.
  • Manage and maintain material master data, supplier documentation, and sourcing records with high accuracy.
  • Serve as a power user of ERP systems; manage sourcing-related data inputs, reporting, and supplier communication workflows with precision.
  • Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that optimize sourcing processes, reduce lead times, and lower total cost of ownership.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex sourcing challenges within the department.
