The Site Sr. Procurement Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of Site Buyers, Global Buyers, and Site Commodity Leaders. This role involves developing strategies and processes for procurement and fulfillment within the IET Valves Business. The scope includes managing direct and indirect spending, overseeing regional and global suppliers, identifying opportunities, and developing suppliers to meet performance expectations and sourcing strategies. This position requires close collaboration with key business stakeholders such as materials & planning, project management, and the Plant Manager to support daily fulfillment and achieve operational goals.

Requirements

  • Strong Sourcing & Procurement experience in an Aftermarket business environment.
  • A bachelor's degree.
  • Proven track record in developing suppliers & improving supplier performance.
  • Product knowledge of Control Valves, Safety Valves, and Controllers & Actuators.
  • In-depth knowledge of casting, machining, welding, fabrication, buyouts and special processes.
  • Expertise in MS 365, SAP, Ariba, ThoughtSpot, Power BI, and AI.
  • Strong data analytics, report creation, and presentation skills.
  • Current work authorization in the country of employment. Employer is unable to provide or continue work authorization sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership, development, and coaching to a team of Buyers and Fulfilment Leaders.
  • Driving a positive organizational culture with strong front-line leadership empowerment and connectivity.
  • Partnering with Strategic Sourcing for implementing sourcing strategies, new supplier development aligned with growth strategy, and volume allocation & optimization.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with strategic suppliers and establishing effective programs to ensure “best in class” supplier performance.
  • Communicating & monitoring performance expectations to suppliers and developing & implementing supplier performance improvement plans.
  • Conducting supplier performance reviews with top management and cross-functional team leaders.
  • Owning Fulfillment KPIs for all suppliers, including on-time delivery, cost, quality, and new parts creation (NPCs).
  • Reducing risks in the supply chain by minimizing single/sole source situations.
  • Collaborating with Global & Plant level Materials Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance to ensure all procurement decisions and actions are aligned with business needs.
  • Leading & driving material synchronization for purchased parts aligned with business revenue, margin, and overdue reduction targets.
  • Partnering with Accounts Payable, Receiving, and Warehousing for prioritizing resolution of invoices and supplier payment processing, owning and driving the entire Procure-to-Pay (P-2-P) process.
  • Ensuring the application of Baker Hughes Quality and Health, Safety and Environment policies.
  • Respecting and promoting the company’s Sustainability policies and procedures.
  • Participating in company-wide initiatives for reducing the usage of energy, water, consumables, etc.
  • Reducing the amount of waste emitted within the company and promoting its sorting to facilitate recovery.
  • Complying with the rules for the use and handling of products or substances that are dangerous for the environment.
  • Ensuring the maintenance and archiving of quality records.
  • Facilitating the conduct of internal audits.
  • Participating in feedback of information relating to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment issues.
