About The Position

Roku is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer, Ad Data Ingestion to join our Solutions Engineering team supporting Roku's advertising business. Roku's advertising business runs on the quality of the signals advertisers and partners send us, including conversions, audiences, and pixel-based events. This role is the technical owner of the ingestion surface: the Conversion API (CAPI) and CAPI gateway, the Audience Upload API, and JS pixels. You will work directly with clients and partners to get them integrated, keep those integrations healthy, and make sure the events flowing in are complete, well-identified, and trustworthy enough to power measurement and attribution. This role partners closely with Product, Engineering, and Ad Measurement to implement and support the technical solutions that drive Roku's advertising offerings. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of ad tech domain expertise and hands-on technical skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where data quality directly impacts business outcomes.

Requirements

5-10 years of experience in AdTech or MarTech at a publisher, DSP, SSP, ad network, or agency, preferably in a Solutions, Integrations, or Professional Services Engineering role
1-3 years of experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Datadog, Tableau, or similar, including the ability to develop custom dashboards, looks, and views; hands-on experience with SQL, Hive, or another database technology
Deep, hands-on understanding of Conversion APIs (CAPI) and CAPI gateway patterns: server-side event ingestion, event deduplication (pixel + server), and event matching
Strong command of JS pixels and browser-based tracking, and how they behave across browsers and privacy constraints
Fluency with REST APIs, reading documentation, testing endpoints, and diagnosing payload/schema issues (Postman/cURL, JSON, auth flows)
A strong track record of providing technical support for external and internal stakeholders, particularly while overseeing complex integrations
Experience partnering with Engineering teams to triage and resolve issues quickly and efficiently

Responsibilities

Own client and partner integrations end to end for Conversion API, Audience API, and pixels, including technical discovery, implementation guidance, and configuration/validation
Troubleshoot and debug integration issues such as data loss, event mismatch, deduplication failures, and other data quality concerns
Scale partner integrations by leveraging existing products and turning repeatable integration patterns into self-service onboarding
Own technical documentation including implementation guides, event schemas, and best practices, and keep it up to date
Monitor ingestion health dashboards to catch regressions early and drive them to resolution
Partner closely with Product and Engineering to voice feedback from clients and partners, build optimizations on integration pathways, and act as technical point of contact for incidents
