About The Position

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Sr Solutions Architect to join their Software Practice Office. This role will be responsible for delivering deployable software solutions and driving technical solution deployments, with a focus on making systems and solutions hybrid ready. The candidate will work with various technologies including hypervisors, Windows Server, SQL Server, networking equipment, and cloud platforms. The position requires the ability to work in high-security areas and pass a stringent background check.

Requirements

• Existing Software System deployment experience.
• Proficiency in Hypervisor and Virtualization platform knowledge and use: VMWare ESXI and RedHat OpenShift, including Virtual Machines.
• Proficiency in Windows Server 2022 or newer.
• Proficiency in SQL Server 2022 or newer.
• Solid networking knowledge and experience setting up firewalls (Fortinet) and load balancers (F5).
• Networking and troubleshooting skills to test connections and identify issue and resolution.
• Cloud Deployment knowledge and experience (DEVOPS) and deployment of cloud services (SaaS solutions) and on-prem system environments.
• Self-motivated team player.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High School diploma, or Associates, or Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Architecture, or Networking.
• 10+ years of professional experience including Product Deployment and Integration, Product Testing, or Product Development.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain a Security Clearance as required by government customers.
• Ability to successfully pass a more stringent fingerprint background check.

Nice To Haves

• Hybrid system experience is preferred.
• Great verbal and written communication is preferred.
• Ability to present and train others on technical processes.
• Public Safety experience is preferred.
• Experience working as a Systems Engineer, Systems Designer, Systems Developer, Systems Integration Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Tester is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deploy software solutions to field teams.
• Drive technical solution deployments.
• Ensure systems and solutions are hybrid ready.
• Utilize knowledge of Hypervisor and Virtualization platforms (VMWare ESXI, RedHat OpenShift).
• Work with Windows Server 2022 or newer.
• Work with SQL Server 2022 or newer.
• Set up firewalls (Fortinet) and load balancers (F5).

• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Work in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy".
