About The Position

Presidio is seeking a skilled Sr. Solutions Architect to join their Pre-Sales Engineering Team in the Minneapolis, MN area. This role is responsible for meeting with customers, gathering requirements for network and security projects, and developing engineering solutions for sale. The successful candidate will develop, present, and educate on various network infrastructure technologies (LAN/WAN, Data Center Switching, Security, SD-WAN), guide customers through requirements gathering, and formulate solutions including hardware, software, licensing, and engineering services. Knowledge of enterprise-class solutions from partners like Cisco, Palo Alto, HPE, VMware, AWS, and other network infrastructure manufacturers is expected, along with a solid understanding of network design principles based on industry best practices. This position involves up to 25% travel in the region.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
• 7+ years of experience, which demonstrates a significant level of expertise in enterprise class network and security solutions.
• Expert-level knowledge and experience with design, implementation and support of one or more of the following: Complex routing and switching solutions (Cisco and HPE)
• Next gen firewalls/VPNs (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.)
• SSE and SASE technologies
• Network Access Control, including Cisco Identity Services Engine (preferred), Aruba ClearPass, and FortiNAC implementation, design, configuration.
• IDS/IPS solutions (Cisco, FortiGuard, Tipping Point, etc. are helpful)
• Data Center switching/segmentation solutions such as Cisco ACI, VXLAN, and VMware NSX
• SDWAN solutions such as Cisco Viptela, Meraki SDWAN, Prisma, Silver Peak, VMware Velocloud, etc.
• Cisco/Meraki, Mist, or Aruba Wireless

Nice To Haves

• One or more of the following certifications: CCDP/CCNP/CCIE and other non-Cisco certifications
• Experience in a Value-Added Reseller (VAR) environment
• Demonstrate technical and design expertise based on past/present experience in deployment, administration, configuration, or integration.
• Experience working as a consultant or network architect is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-level technical solutions and present to customers (Hardware, Software, Licensing, Professional Services)
• Collect business and technical requirements
• Complete end-to-end, full lifecycle network designs
• Drive whiteboard conversations
• Craft customer facing presentations
• Delivering technical presentations and product demonstrations
• Generate hardware configurations (BoM) and/or work with internal teams to complete these tasks
• Write statements of work (SoW) and develop Professional Service pricing utilizing Presidio tools
• Ability to self-pace and self-set direction in a team environment to drive business outside of traditional networking (cloud, cyber, managed services, and digital business opportunities, etc.)
• Build relationships with Account Executive/Extended Sales Teams to develop customer rapport and solutions and assist in overall sales process
• Maintain and develop technical and technology specific skill sets and certifications
