About The Position

Workday is seeking a Solution Architect passionate about its Financials products to join the Solution Architecture Financials team. The role helps build and maintain sales demonstration environments that showcase Workday's oCFO solutions. The Solution Architecture team connects Sales, Product, Services, and Marketing, using deep product knowledge to develop solutions for complex industry and socioeconomic challenges.

The Solution Architect develops compelling demos, supports active strategic sales opportunities, and collaborates with Development, Product Strategy, Professional Services, and Solution Consulting to shape messaging and design solutions. The role also works with development teams to improve Financial products and influence the product roadmap, maintains demo operations for Commercial and industry-specific use cases, shares product practices across Workday, and stays current with industry trends. The position offers opportunities to learn from experienced architects and contribute to projects in a supportive, growth-oriented environment. Periodic travel for team gatherings and Presales or Marketing events is expected. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Enterprise Software Solution Consulting roles.
• 5+ years of experience in core financials, including general accounting, revenue, debits, and credits.
• 5+ years working closely with Workday Financial applications or competing products.
• Proven background in ERP system implementation.
• Innovative problem solver able to address complex challenges.
• Self-directed initiative with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Outstanding written, verbal, presentation-slide-development, and executive-discussion communication skills.
• Willingness to travel periodically for team gatherings and Presales or Marketing events.

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on experience with Workday Prism, Reporting, Analytics, and Accounting Center solutions.
• Background in managing internal projects successfully.
• CPA licensure.

Responsibilities

• Develop compelling demo solutions that showcase the value of Workday's Financial product suite.
• Provide sales support for active strategic opportunities and demos.
• Collaborate with Development, Product Strategy, Professional Services, and Solution Consulting teams to develop messaging and design solutions.
• Work with development teams to improve Financial products and influence the product roadmap.
• Maintain operations surrounding the Financial product for Commercial and industry-specific demos.
• Disseminate product standard methodologies throughout the Workday organization.
• Stay up to date with current and projected industry trends.
• Build and maintain sales demonstration environments showcasing Workday's oCFO solutions.
