A Day in the Life * Tests the functionality and performance of medical device software systems and software applications. * Develops and executes test plans and scripts designed to detect problems in medical device software systems and software applications. * Develop automation scripts using tools such as Python and other scripting languages * Support the development of System and Software Requirements * Create test plans, test protocols, and test reports used for regulatory submissions. * Execute test protocols for medical devices software systems * Ensures medical device software systems and software applications meet technical and functional requirements. * Performs workflow analysis, documents test results and recommends quality improvements. * Works with development to resolve software defects and diagnose/improve product configuration for current and future models. * Reviews test automation frameworks, tools, techniques, and methodologies. * Conduct tool validation activities * Manages completion of own work assignments and coordinates work with others * Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
  • The employee is regularly required to be independently mobile.
  • The employee is also required to interact with a computer, and communicate with peers and co-workers.
  • Candidates to Principal level and above require U.S. work authorization sponsorship.
  • Roles below Principal level require candidates to possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the medical device industry or other regulated industries
  • Experience with test case management software tools
  • Experience with scripting software (Python or similar)
  • Experience with requirements management tools (Polarion, DOORS, etc…)
  • Experience with developing and maintaining automated testing systems
  • Experience with testing software-controlled hardware devices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with Security and Risk analysis
