Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
  • C, C++, or Python
  • CPU, GPU, or SoC architecture
  • Code optimization using the GPU or software performance analysis
  • Software debugging (macOS, Linux, or Unix)
  • Open source software development
  • Machine learning and object oriented design
  • Git

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and validate systems-level software that enables high-performance AI and enterprise workloads on GPU and CPU platforms.
  • Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug systems software and infrastructure components that support large-scale AI deployments.
  • Develop software and frameworks that support AI infrastructure, inference platforms, and distributed computing environments, including integration with ROCm-based GPU platforms, container runtimes, and orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.
  • Optimize and benchmark enterprise software workloads such as databases, big data analytics, and webservers to develop customer-facing solutions, tuning guides, and best practices for enterprise software.
  • Conduct benchmarks and analyze processor performance to design new processor SKUs.
  • Determine hardware compatibility and/or influence hardware design.
  • Work in an area of specialization to develop systems-level software, working on problems of complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
  • Under supervision, exercise judgment within defined company procedures and practices to select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including computer hardware and software, applications, and programming, as well as knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD systems and products.
