Sr Software Manager – Enterprise and Mobile Applications
About The Position
Current is seeking a Sr Software Manager – Enterprise and Mobile Applications to join our progressive and dynamic fast-paced enterprise software team. We are developing the next generation of world-class Internet of Things (IoT) connected lighting controls and building management systems. This is a hands-on leadership role that will directly contribute to the development and expansion of our cutting-edge cloud-connected IoT applications and offerings with the latest software technologies and tools. You will be part of our innovative technology design center located in either Round Rock, TX. We are looking for a talented and creative problem solver. You will be responsible for the complete software development life cycle. This will require a high degree of collaboration between highly talented, cross-functional, and geographically dispersed development teams to understand business needs, propose and develop product solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or an Engineering related discipline
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with web-based applications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with back-end technologies – C#.NET, Java, etc.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with front-end technologies – HTML/JavaScript, Angular
- 3+ years of experience developing for the Linux/Ubuntu platform
- 3+ years of experience deploying to the cloud
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of database design, SQL Queries, and transactions
- Experience using AI LLM tools for development
- Experience incorporating AI LLM models in product design and development
- Knowledge of cybersecurity requirements and experience with vulnerability and penetration testing
- Familiarity of mobile app development using Flutter
- Sound understanding of Agile development processes
- Knowledge of server configurations, including Nginx and Apache configurations
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage geographically dispersed software development team.
- Lead the development and support of scalable enterprise and cloud applications.
- Lead development of high-performing and reliable web and mobile applications.
- Assess and distill product marketing requirements into producible epics and user stories.
- Drive performance and efficiency by fostering collaborative team environment, effective use of AI tools and software development processes.
- Facilitate timely project completion and product delivery by identifying and removing technical roadblocks, running design reviews, reconciling marketing requirements within schedule, cost and design constraints, influencing task execution priorities across teams.
- Research, assess and adapt to new technologies necessary for future enhancements of products.
- Protect intellectual property through patent disclosures and applications.
