About The Position
The Advanced Radar Research Center (ARRC) is seeking experienced technical software engineers. This position serves as a Senior Engineer in the design and implementation of software architecture for radar & equipment monitoring and control. A qualified candidate should have a Bachelor's in an engineering discipline and at least 60 months of software development experience, including C++, Python and familiarity with Linux.

Responsibilities
- Architect and implement frameworks, APIs, and control layers to enable system functionality.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Linux daemons and services for system critical high-performance, multi-threaded applications.
- Code, debug, and test system software.
- Collaborate closely with functional teams including EE, FPGA, and platforms teams to create processing, control, and validation solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve low-level OS issues, networking bottlenecks, and hardware-software integration challenges.
- Provide consulting to system-level designs, including costing, lead times, and alternative solutions.
- May lead a functional team.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the functions of the position.
