About The Position

Motorola Solutions is seeking a UI software engineer with strong programming skills, curiosity, continuous learning, and adaptability. The ideal candidate will have diverse knowledge and a wide variety of interests, particularly in wireless communications. Hands-on experience in embedded software development is also beneficial. This role involves creating proof-of-concept and low-volume specialty communications products for government and private industry, adhering to high standards of quality and reliability. The Applied Technology organization focuses on unique, challenging projects using leading-edge technologies for security and safety worldwide, with in-house engineering and manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (BS) or Master's (MS) degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience programming in C, C++, C# / .NET, HTML, CSS, Typescript, Angular, Webstorm and/or Python.
  • Excellent understanding of real-time embedded software design.
  • Proficiency in Linux, C, C++, C# / .NET, HTML, CSS, Typescript, Angular, Webstorm, Python and other software languages and operating systems.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.
  • Ability to meaningfully communicate with members of all engineering disciplines (Hardware, RF, Software, FPGA, etc), as well as management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop UI solutions for real-world systems and standalone products to enhance existing Applied Technology offerings.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary product development teams.
  • Perform duties in all areas of development, including requirements analysis, high and low-level design, coding, model training and evaluation, documentation, real-world testing, and validation.
  • Engage in hands-on interaction with product hardware for development and debugging.
