As a Senior Software Engineer on the Digital Trip Management API Team, you’ll design, develop, test, and implement reliable, well‑integrated APIs that power key post‑booking experiences on Southwest.com. From check‑in and flight modifications to reservation management and baggage handling, your work ensures millions of Customers can seamlessly manage their travel. You’ll bring advanced engineering expertise, proactively prevent production issues, drive immediate resolutions, and mentor other engineers while championing “shift‑left” quality practices. This role offers a broad view of how digital systems connect across Southwest, and the opportunity to build backend capabilities that make travel simple and fast. Additional details: This Dallas-based role is offered as a remote workplace position, which may require onsite presence / travel for trainings, meetings, conferences, etc. Outside of those required visits, the majority of your working time may be spent in an approved remote location within the Dallas - Fort Worth area.
