Sr. Software Engineer
About The Position
Seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise applications. This role involves gathering business requirements, producing functional and technical specifications, verifying feasibility, and developing project plans and estimates. The engineer will ensure designs fit the current environment and are scalable for future initiatives, and work with DBAs on database design and architecture. Responsibilities include full life-cycle development, including functional and technical design for new applications and enhancements, full stack development, performance and end-to-end testing, implementation, and maintenance of software applications. The role also involves designing and conducting unit, system, and integration testing, developing user interfaces, backend web applications, console jobs for batch processing, and database structures, stored procedures, and functions. Troubleshooting and debugging skills are essential, as is mentoring other developers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 4 years of development experience.
- 4 years of experience in gathering requirements.
- 4 years of experience in producing functional and technical specifications.
- 4 years of experience in evaluating existing and latest technologies.
- 4 years of experience in designing and conducting unit system and integration tests.
- 4 years of experience in training external users and creating training materials.
- Knowledge of C#; MVC; Entity Framework; ASP.NET; forms; Web APIs; SQL: DB and table design, PL/SQL, stored procedures and functions; deploying and maintaining application on server; JavaScript; JQuery; XML; JSON.
- Experience in a Senior/Management role.
- Background check and drug screen required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise applications.
- Gather business requirements, produce functional and technical specifications, verify feasibility and develop project plans and estimates.
- Ensure that design fits into current environment and is scalable to future initiatives.
- Work with DBA on database design and architecture.
- Perform full life-cycle development assignments, including functional and technical design for new applications and enhancements, full stack development, performance and end-to-end testing, implementation, and maintenance of software applications.
- Design and conduct unit system and integration testing.
- Develop user interfaces, backend web applications, console jobs for batch processing, and database structures, stored procedures, and functions.
- Perform troubleshooting and debugging.
- Mentor other developers.
