About The Position

SimpliSafe is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Operations Engineering team. In this role, you'll design, implement, and maintain the systems and APIs that power our Customer Experience Platform, Privacy Compliance tooling, and Cross-organization technical initiatives, partnering with other engineering teams to drive improvements beyond your immediate team's scope. Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, ideally full-stack
• Proven ability to design and ship production web applications and/or services independently
• Strong experience building Node.js microservices
• Hands-on experience with AWS
• Experience with Angular, React, or a comparable modern frontend framework
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar
• Solid working knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning new technologies
• Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively on a team
• A mindset that values building new things as much as maintaining what already exists
