Sr Software Engineer
About The Position
A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Sr Software Engineer. As a Sr Software Engineer, You will: Design, develop, and support data engineering solutions. Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical solutions. Work on data modernization initiatives and improve existing platforms. Develop and maintain applications using Python. Create and optimize SQL Server databases, queries, and stored procedures. Build and support REST APIs and microservices. Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage tasks using Jira. Collaborate closely with business and technology stakeholders. Contribute to DevOps and deployment activities using tools like Git and Jenkins.
Requirements
- Expertise in SQL Server and Python programming
- Experience with data engineering and data processing libraries such as Pandas.
- Experience building distributed applications.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of microservices architecture.
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Git and Jenkins.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Capital Markets domain.
- Understanding of Market Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk.
- Knowledge of derivatives, risk management, and financial data modeling.
- Exposure to GenAI and Agentic AI concepts.
