Sr. Software Engineer - Tax
About The Position
As a Senior Software Engineer on the team, you will help develop Cloud native applications, focusing on creating microservices for Tax. You will work closely with product owners, architects, and developers across the organization. You are up for the challenges of integrating greenfield development with existing infrastructure. The ideal candidate is humble, passionate, collaborative, and entrepreneurial, thriving in a dynamic and fast-growing tech company. You will work with the team on some of the world's top tech as we innovate the HCM industry. You are part of a product application development team working on Payroll & Tax, Time & Attendance, and Human Resources. You will actualize the product roadmap and own technical output, providing empathy for our user base and collaboration with peers across the organization, including software engineering teams, product managers, operations, and the executive team. You will support the growth and success of our business through best-in-class software products for our clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software development related field, or similar work experience.
- 8+ years of work history in full stack production engineering experience, in a SaaS software environment
- Experience with ORMs such as Entity Framework Core or Dapper
- Strong hands-on experience with .NET (Core/Framework) and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Experience designing and operating microservices in a container-orchestrated environment
- Familiarity with serverless architecture
- Frontend expertise with Vue.js, React, Angular, or any other modern JavaScript framework.
- Working knowledge of Database like RDBMS, NoSQL
Nice To Haves
- AWS associate level certification is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain event driven cloud native HCM software
- Develop and maintain full-stack applications using .NET Core/Framework for backend and modern JavaScript frameworks (such as Vue.js, React, or Angular) for frontend development.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices that are secure, scalable, and well-documented
- Maintain customer focus and understand your team's charter
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and prevent regressions
- Experience with application observability, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD tools
- Collaborate with your team on best practices, effective code reviewing and continual process improvements
- Contribute in scrum ceremonies including the daily stand up, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives and sprint review.
