This role involves providing technical leadership within a team responsible for developing and maintaining data products for Freewheel and Beeswax’s core products. The engineer will develop data products using Python, perform exploratory data analysis using SQL on Snowflake and Databricks, and develop data APIs using Golang. Responsibilities also include performing version control using GitHub, developing machine learning models using Apache Spark, building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, and operationalizing data products within the AWS cloud platform. Additionally, the role involves creating, maintaining, and extracting data using Clickhouse, supporting applications under development, customizing current applications, and assisting with software update processes and roll-outs. The engineer will analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications, document all development activity, and research, write, and edit technical documentation. Monitoring competitive applications, reviewing relevant literature, and collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements are also key aspects. The role includes working with the Quality Assurance team to ensure applications meet specifications and guiding junior engineers. This position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• Five (5) years of experience developing data products using Python
• Five (5) years of experience performing exploratory data analysis using SQL
• Five (5) years of experience developing data APIs using Golang
• Three (3) years of experience performing version control using GitHub
• Three (3) years of experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
• Three (3) years of experience operationalizing data products within AWS cloud platform
• Three (3) years of experience creating, maintaining and extracting data using Clickhouse
• One (1) year of experience using Snowflake and Databricks
