This role is for an experienced Software Engineer in developing and deploying software for real-time mission-critical systems. The Software Department in Fullerton, CA is looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to work onsite in Fullerton, CA. Requirements

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) AND a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
Experience in C/C++ and Python for application development, data processing, and automation.
Experience across phases of SDLC including design, code, integration, and test of large system.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance as and when required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience with the requirements development and flow down process.
Experience with system or subsystem level Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V).
Familiarity with Agile lifecycle process including Scrum, Continuous Integration, and Test-Driven Development Methodologies.
Development experience on Linux, VxWorks, or other Real Time Operating Systems.
Experience in radar-domain software development, signal processing, and/or system integration.
Experience working in lab environments with physical hardware (e.g., test benches, simulators).
Knowledge of integration and testing of air, land or sea-based mission systems from SIL through flight test.
Internship or project experience involving data pipelines, AI/ML integration, or cross-domain systems.
Experience with test automation and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Well-developed communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Active U.S. government-issued security clearance (must be transferable).

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain software applications using C/C++ and Python.
Work within an Agile team to design, develop, test, and deploy software components that support real-time data collection, processing, and user interaction across distributed systems.
Participate in design and code reviews, configuration management activities, and automated testing within a mature CI/CD environment.
Collaborate closely with systems, test, and data engineering teams to ensure software components integrate smoothly and support overall system objectives.
Develop and maintain technical documentation and contribute to formal design reviews.
Some travel to customer sites for the purpose of testing and deployment.
