About the position
Autograph is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join their Tech Team. The role involves maintaining, refining, and growing Autograph's APIs and core services, as well as contributing to project direction and growth. The responsibilities include feature development, maintenance and scaling of existing services, staying up to date with the latest technologies, and collaborating with UX engineers and product managers. The ideal candidate should have 5-7 years of experience building APIs and backend services, knowledge of decentralized technologies, and a strong desire to work on web3.
Responsibilities
- Feature development for core infrastructure and APIs, including architecture planning, integration, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Maintenance and scaling of existing services, including interacting with various services and platforms, encoding media, leveraging queueing, etc.
- Staying up to date with the latest technologies in software, infrastructure, and DevOps.
- Contributing to discussions on scaling and growing services, exploring new and novel approaches, and documenting findings.
- Collaborating with UX engineers and product managers to implement platform requirements.
- Writing robust, scalable, and well-designed software that is easy to maintain and thoroughly tested.
- Pushing and refining proprietary technologies, platforms, and creative practices.
- Building APIs and backend services using Nodejs/Typescript/MongoDB or similar technologies.
- Developing and integrating decentralized technologies, infrastructure, and data systems.
- Utilizing git and version control effectively.
- Scaling complicated projects and working on web3.
- Driving and executing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Taking ownership of work and having opinions on features and web3.
- Demonstrating open communication and collaboration skills.
- Adapting and being accountable in a dynamic environment.
