Under general supervision, this position will design, build, and deliver end-to-end full-stack applications on the modern .NET platform (.NET 8/10, C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core) spanning web front-ends, desktop/fat-client apps, Web APIs, and data layers. This role involves building responsive web UIs with React/TypeScript and/or Blazor, and modern Windows desktop clients (WPF, WinUI 3, .NET MAUI, or Blazor Hybrid), backed by SQL Server. The engineer will own architecture and design decisions from discovery through release, balancing scalability, performance, security, and long-term maintainability. A key aspect of this role is integrating AI-assisted/agentic coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex) into daily delivery, establishing team norms, and reviewing standards for AI-generated code. The position also requires evaluating the rapidly evolving AI tooling landscape and making data-driven recommendations to shape the organization’s AI development roadmap. Additionally, the role involves standing up and maturing the SDLC—source control, branching, PR/code review, CI/CD, testing, and release/change management—in an environment where formal process is still developing. The engineer will define and document engineering standards, solution patterns, and reference architectures for broader team adoption. This is a hands-on technical lead role, facilitating discovery sessions, reviewing pull requests, coordinating releases, and mentoring developers and analysts. The role also involves setting the bar for external consultancies and staff-augmentation partners, ingesting and hardening consultant, and AI-/vibe-coded solutions to engineering standards and bringing them under the formal SDLC. Other duties as assigned.
