About The Position

We are the Machine Learning Product team at Workday. Our focus is on the application of machine learning and statistical analysis to Workday’s products to serve our end users. We routinely work on data with high velocity, volume and variety, and we employ a modern machine learning distributed computing and big data software stack to deal with these challenges. This role plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new cloud-based products and internet related tools. It involves coding, testing, debugging, documenting and implementing software applications. The engineer will analyze requirements, test and integrate application components, and ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented. The role also involves analyzing, designing, programming, debugging, and modifying software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or internet-related computer programs. Using current programming language and technologies, the engineer writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance are completed. The role may interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. It may also oversee projects and/or programs, as assigned by management. Position may allow for partial telecommuting.

Requirements

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
2 years (24 months) of experience in object-oriented design and development
2 years (24 months) of experience in algorithms and data structures
2 years (24 months) of experience in programming language such as Python
2 years (24 months) of experience in database and querying languages such as SQL
2 years (24 months) of experience in MLOps
2 years (24 months) of experience in CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or Git.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
5 years (60 months) of experience in object-oriented design and development
5 years (60 months) of experience in algorithms and data structures
5 years (60 months) of experience in programming language such as Python
5 years (60 months) of experience in database and querying languages such as SQL
5 years (60 months) of experience in MLOps

Responsibilities

Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new cloud-based products and internet related tools.
Codes, tests, debugs, documents and implements software applications.
Analyzes requirements, tests and integrates application components.
Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented.
Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or internet-related computer programs.
Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications.
Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
May oversee projects and/or programs, as assigned by management.
