About The Position

Niagen Bioscience is seeking a Sr. Social Media Manager to lead and evolve our global social media presence, shaping how our brand shows up across digital channels. This senior role is responsible for architecting high-impact social media strategies that elevate our leadership in NAD+ science, grow our community, and drive measurable business value. As a senior member of the marketing organization, you will steer the creative direction, guide cross-functional alignment, and mentor internal and external partners to ensure our social media ecosystem reflects scientific credibility, innovation, and brand excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field; advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of professional social media marketing experience, with demonstrated success in competitive, regulated, or scientific industries (bioscience, health, wellness, biotechnology, or technology).
  • Proven ability to lead channel strategy across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Reddit and X/Twitter.
  • Strong creative vision with the ability to turn scientific concepts into compelling, consumer-friendly storytelling.
  • Expertise with social media management platforms (e.g., Meltwater and Later) and digital analytics tools.
  • Working knowledge of SEO, content marketing, and paid social fundamentals.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication across scientific and consumer audiences.
  • Strategic thinker who can translate long-term brand goals into actionable social plans.
  • Highly collaborative, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
  • Strong project-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and multiple social media accounts.
  • Curiosity and passion for science, biotechnology, and wellness innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the end-to-end social media and community strategy, aligning channel direction with brand, product, and business goals across bioscience, health, and wellness audiences.
  • Establish the long-term vision for social platforms, identifying where Niagen should innovate, invest, and differentiate.
  • Set annual and quarterly KPIs, lead reporting cadences, and communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Continuously assess the social and digital competitive landscape to identify trends, opportunities, and risks that inform channel strategy and content direction.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality, scientifically accurate, and visually elevated content including videos, animations, graphics, stories, and multi-channel campaigns.
  • Lead ideation and ensure content meets both creative excellence and regulatory standards, including FDA guidelines for claims.
  • Drive experimentation with emerging formats, such as short-form video and interactive content.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Creative, Scientific Affairs, Research, Product Development, and Sales to ensure scientific precision and cohesive brand storytelling.
  • Provide direction and feedback to internal creators, agencies, freelancers, and production vendors/designers.
  • Mentor junior team members, offering guidance on strategy, creative thinking, and platform best practices.
  • Oversee analytics across platforms using tools such as Meltwater and Later.
  • Analyze engagement, reach, traffic, conversions, and sentiment—translating data into actionable optimization strategies.
  • Manage crisis and reputation moments proactively, responding with strategic clarity and cross-functional alignment.
