Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring Sr. Silicon Design Engineer to Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing, employing knowledge of electronic theory. Perform definition, design, verification, and/or documentation for ASIC/FPGA development. Determine architecture design, logic design, and/or system simulation. Define module interfaces/formats for simulation. Drive functional verification for the block and write testbenches to verify the design. Coordinate with RTL engineers to implement logic design for better clocking and verify the various aspects of the design. Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits. Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use. Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Under supervision, exercise limited judgment within defined company procedures and practices to select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Requirements

  • FPGA Hardware design
  • Developing test plans for semiconductor products
  • RTL coding
  • Verilog, System Verilog, or UVM
  • C, C++, or Python
  • ASIC and FPGA Design
  • Logic and circuit design
  • Unix or Linux environments
  • TCL, Perl, Python
  • SoC architecture, GPU architecture, or CPU architecture
  • Design flows and methodologies used for chip verification
  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related field.
