About The Position

Providing security in/around the hospital, facilities, campus, and parking structures. Concentrates on the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff. Responding immediately to various levels of dispatch calls as a visible deterrent, investigating unusual circumstances, assisting with de-escalation, and security enforcement. In absence of other shift leadership, will provide oversight and direction for shift operations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of security experience required.
  • Solid problem-solving skills required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proof of training in Froedtert-approved DAAT (Defense And Arrest Techniques) course within the previous three years or the ability to obtain certification within 120 days of hire is required to include de-escalation training.
  • Must complete National Incident Management System (NIMS) IS-700 and the ICS-100 courses within six months of hire.
  • Must have FTO (Field Training Officer) program completed within 120 days.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Push-Pull force generation up to 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Occasional stair climbing.
  • Frequent walking.
  • Ability to get up and down from floor to standing independently.
  • Valid WI Driver's License is required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 5 years of security experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in supervision of staff preferred.
  • An advanced degree is preferred or 15 plus years of experience in lieu of educational background.
