Eli Lilly and Company seeks a Sr. Scientist (R1-R2) to design, execute, and analyze high-throughput in vitro screening and evaluation of oligonucleotide therapeutics, supporting early-phase drug discovery programs. Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot qPCR, cell-based, and biochemical assays to evaluate siRNA and other RNA therapeutics. Apply bioinformatics and statistical methods to analyze experimental data and contribute to compound progression decisions. Help with design and implementation of semi-automated and automated workflows using liquid handling systems and plate-based assays to enhance laboratory efficiency. Maintain accurate electronic laboratory notebooks and prepare data summaries for cross-functional teams. Work in a fast-paced R&D environment supporting multiple projects and collaborating across diverse scientific teams to advance pipeline goals. #LI-DNI Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related STEM field and 2 years of academic or employment experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology research. Academic or employment experience must include a minimum of: 1 year of experience with mammalian cell culture techniques, including passaging, seeding, and maintenance for in vitro assays; 1 year of experience with assay development and troubleshooting for cell-based and biochemical assays in a research or industrial setting; 1 year of experience using statistical and data analysis software for interpretation and visualization of experimental results; 1 year of experience in documenting experimental procedures and maintaining electronic laboratory notebooks in compliance with quality and data integrity standards; 1 year of experience working in cross-functional teams and presenting scientific data to diverse audiences; 6 months of experience with in vitro/vivo endpoint development and analysis including data interpretation; and 6 months of experience with semi-automated or automated workflows in a laboratory setting, including with liquid handling systems or automated plate readers. #LI-DNI Job location: Boston, MA. The anticipated wage for this position is $71,250.00 - $187,000.00 per year Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
