About The Position

Client is seeking an experienced Senior SAP S4 HANA Project Manager based in the USA, preferably located near Chicago, IL area or Danville, IL and/or Waukesha, WI or anywhere in midwest/east to travel on site occaisionally. You will be supporting the client global SAP project where work is based out of Brazil currently. Client is a $33B global Steel manufacturing firm. There will be two SAP functional senior consultants performing as local focal points with broader SAP experience on Finance and logistics to support the project locally from early June. You will be working with a different team and a FICO Lead. Requirements

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant SAP experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience OR in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading large-scale project and complex initiatives relating to Aftermarket operations, SAP ERP systems, and related fields.
• Experience supporting cross-functional teams and providing regular project updates to executive leaders.
• Ability to travel approximately 20% throughout the project lifecycle.

Nice To Haves

• SAP Certified Application Associate – Strong background in Logistics and Supply Chain with SAP S/4HANA.
• Previous experience in large-scale Automotive, steel or manufacturing sector services SAP.
• Proven leadership skills, including team building, conflict resolution, and performance management.

• Strong business analysis and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for Aftermarket process development and SAP ERP integration.
• Ensure seamless integration of Aftermarket processes into the SAP ERP system, aligning capabilities with business needs.
• Communicate effectively with VPs and senior leaders regarding project status, benefits, and strategic implications.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to changes in Aftermarket MRO tool execution processes.
• Ensure Aftermarket process maps align with industry best practices and meet the specific needs of project regionall.
• Lead change management initiatives to facilitate the successful adoption of new systems and processes by Aftermarket teams.
• Utilize SAP S4 technology to identify opportunities for process improvement and workflow optimization.
• Manage relationships with SAP ERP vendors to ensure high-quality solution delivery.
• Proactively address risks associated with SAP ERP implementations, maintaining compliance with regulations and data security standards.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of SAP S4 initiatives, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
• Defining project scope, managing comprehensive project plans, budgets, and ensuring the on-time delivery of key milestones.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, finance, and supply chain, to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives.
• Leverage SAP implementation expertise to identify inefficiencies, recommend best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Fostering teamwork, mentoring project teams, and promoting a collaborative environment that supports knowledge sharing, innovation, and accountability.
• Regular updates to executive leadership will be required, focusing on accomplishments, challenges, and strategic recommendations.
• Prepare functional specifications and work with ABAP teams for enhancements, user exits, and custom reports.
• Lead unit, integration, and UAT testing for Logistics(SD, MM & LE) plus various components.
• Ensure compliance with logistics "Best Practices" on global project.
• Provide post-go-live support and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
