This role involves providing mission planning and requirements development using an interdisciplinary approach. The engineer will encompass the entire technical effort to evolve and verify an integrated and total life-cycle balanced set of system, people, and process solutions that satisfy customer needs in support of system acquisitions. This includes maritime, ground, air, space-based, and RF-enabled collection systems. The engineer will also model, simulate, and analyze systems using STK for mission planning, performance prediction, and scenario analysis. Additionally, the role requires developing technical information to support government program management decision-making, assisting in managing system configuration and work breakdown structures, and developing CONOPS for technical collection operations. The engineer will oversee contractor development of technical collection systems and RF components, and provide contractor support to government collection systems, RF-enabled platforms, and associated software acquisitions. Demonstrated experience in mission planning, requirements development, systems engineering and integration, and supporting program management decision-making processes for collection, sensing, or communications systems is essential. Experience in managing system configuration documents and work breakdown structures is also required.
