About The Position

We are hiring a Sr. Revenue Accountant to enable Rula’s Revenue Accounting team through accounting excellence, technological innovation, and improved revenue accounting processes. This person will be responsible for key parts of the monthly close, financial reporting, and compliance. You will apply your knowledge of revenue accounting to help ensure proper revenue recognition and partner cross-functionally to support scalable revenue operations. You’ll be joining a collaborative, detail-oriented team that values ownership and continuous improvement. Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including direct experience with revenue accounting under ASC 606
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting month-end close processes
  • Proficiency in Excel (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
  • Expertise working cross functionally (eg. Finance, Billing or Operations teams) utilizing strong communication skills to resolve data or process issues

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years experience at a high-growth start-up
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation / or currently working towards it
  • Proficiency with revenue automation or systems implementations
  • Public accounting experience
  • Hands-on expertise working with large or complex datasets to identify discrepancies
  • A passion for problem solving and process improvements, using emerging tools and technologies (e.g. AI) to drive operational efficiencies
