This position involves providing competent basic and specialty respiratory care utilizing an interdisciplinary approach and individualizing care to meet unique patient needs. The role requires managing unexpected emergency situations effectively and serving as a preceptor for new employees and respiratory care students. The therapist will assess respiratory care needs, identify patient diagnoses and care needs, and perform various pulmonary function tests. Proficiency in analyzer maintenance, calibrations, quality control, and CAP surveys is also expected. The role requires working independently with minimal supervision, participating in department meetings and quality management, and demonstrating initiative in a continual learning environment. Additionally, the therapist will be proficient in Bronchoscopy and Interventional Pulmonary services and must be able to manage time effectively and flex schedules as required for patient care. Adherence to assigned work schedule, annual training, internal controls, and institutional policies is mandatory.
