This is a non-exempt/hourly SCA covered position. The role ensures safety, student accountability, and adherence to established standards of conduct to provide a dormitory environment that promotes and reinforces educational advancement, personal, social and professional development, positive attitudes, discipline, self-expression and control, motivation, independent living skills, positive peer relations, hygiene, goal setting, service to others, and successful life management. The advisor conducts dormitory operations in accordance with center operating policy and procedures and in accordance with operation procedures. The position also assists in training new Residential Advisors. It demonstrates an ongoing commitment to preparing young people for the workforce by modeling, mentoring, and monitoring excellence in the eight Career Success Standards: workplace relations and ethics; information management; communications; multicultural awareness; personal growth and development; career and personal planning; interpersonal skills; and independent living.
