The Sr. Research Laboratory Technician performs advanced technical activities related to laboratory research projects and clinical trials within the department. Specifically, the Sr. Research Laboratory Technician aids scientists by monitoring and recording study findings. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent/relevant experience, certification or license
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required
  • Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
  • Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
  • Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Downloads, enters, and regulates data and maintains quality assurance.
  • Contributes to report writing and graphical presentation of data.
  • Monitors inventory of equipment and supplies and places orders in a timely fashion.
  • Maintains laboratory facilities and equipment in compliance with safety regulations and policies.
  • Prepares reports on project status and risk assessments.
  • Completes all required documentation for laboratory requests.
  • Schedules laboratory work based on project priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
  • Expected to care and maintain all cell line collections in the lab.
