Sr Research Engineer
About The Position
A senior-level role that leads strategic, multidisciplinary projects, serves as a thought leader, and builds the company�s innovation network. As an Sr Research Engineer you will: Run complex research projects with minimum oversight. Create new conceptual designs and validates them. Contribute to the innovation strategy. Serve as a mentor and leader across engineering levels. Educate other G&W teams on new technology and processes. Consult and supports other teams as needed within area of expertise. Oversee critical research and innovation initiatives from more junior engineers. Build partnerships with universities, labs, and research centers. Represent the organization at global technical conferences. Publish research findings and contribute to organizational IP. Develop schedules, coordinate, and manage feasibility projects of minor to major size with little to no supervision. Develop budgets with little to no supervision.
Requirements
- Holds a BSEE and has 5+ years of experience.
- Has demonstrated thought leadership in technical organizations.
- Possesses advanced skills in managing research ecosystems.
- Has extensive knowledge of research methodologies and industry standards.
- Is recognized as an expert in high voltage technology.
- Has exceptional leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Has a strong network of academic and industry collaborators.
- Can show a proven ability to influence strategic decisions.
