About The Position

The University of Miami UHealth Department of Neurological Surgery is hiring a full-time Senior Research Associate 2 in Miami, Florida. The role supports the efficient operation of an assigned laboratory and ensures compliance with applicable guidelines and regulations. The employee conducts complex and specialized research activities in support of the University’s research goals and objectives.

Requirements

Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
Ability to collaborate with others and contribute to a team environment.
Proficiency with office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Contribute to basic and applied research by collecting and analyzing data and maintaining databases.
Understand and interpret research protocols and procedures.
Participate in the publication of significant results.
Advance expertise through continued education, training, and research.
Maintain an overview of relevant research findings.
Ensure research is conducted according to good research practice.
Stay abreast of developments in the field that may affect department functions.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to junior research staff and students.
Follow University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
Perform other duties or responsibilities as necessary and consistent with the role.
