About The Position
Morning Brew Inc. is seeking a writer for Brew Markets, their investing newsletter. The goal is to make the complex business world more conversational and interesting for millions of readers. This role will delve deeper into markets and investing, including public, private, venture, and crowdfunding. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in investing, a deep understanding of capital markets, and the ability to craft compelling stories that resonate with the audience. The writing should embody Morning Brew's brand personality: witty, informative, trusted, and memorable. This position requires close collaboration with editors and cross-functional teams, including creators, designers, and other writers. A team-player attitude and flexibility are essential due to the company's high-growth phase.
Requirements
- Extremely interested in investing.
- In-depth understanding of how capital markets function.
- Ability to convey a fun, informative, trusted personality through writing.
- Distinct writing voice that embodies Morning Brew's style: witty but not cringe, informative but never dry, and memorable.
- Team player and ability to get along with peers.
- Flexible with a game-for-anything attitude.
- More than four years experience writing about markets and investing are strongly preferred.

- Cover public, private, venture, and crowdfunding markets.
- Craft compelling stories relevant to the audience.
