This position is responsible for designing/developing, programming, maintaining and publishing operational reports within Optum Health. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Hours are Monday through Friday 8AM -5PM within your local time zone, hours may fluctual slightly based off business needs. Requirements

  • 5+ Years of data analytics experience
  • 5+ Years of business analysis experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge including Access and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Identify appropriate data sources, report metrics, and tools for providing required information according to clients' requests
  • Determine scope of requested work in order to assess resource requirements and create work plans
  • Demonstrate understanding of reporting requirements for various benefits plans
  • Identify and/or create relevant databases needed to source appropriate data
  • Communicate with internal and/or external customers concerning the status of their report and work to troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies
  • Conduct training with internal and/or external customers on various reporting topics
  • Test and review completed reports and associated metrics used in order to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Demonstrate knowledge of operations, goals, and policies and procedures
  • Review competitive intelligence to identify trends and opportunities for new reporting solutions
  • Review ad hoc reporting requests in order to determine whether a standard reporting solution can be created
  • Review manual report packages to identify opportunities to automate reporting and/or eliminate redundancies
  • Work with relevant business partners to review the effectiveness of proposed solutions
  • Conduct pilots in order to validate the accuracy of new processes or procedures and work towards long term strategy for process and reporting improvements
