What You Will Do: Lead and support the monthly financial planning, forecasting, and close process (RPLAN), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment to program execution. Drive development of Quarterly Estimate at Completion (EAC) and monthly Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) deliverables, providing critical financial insight to program leadership. Conduct advanced PRISM and material financial analysis, including MRP updates, grouping/pegging/distribution impacts, and end-to-end material cost visibility. Translate financial results into actionable insights by clearly communicating forecast commitments, risks, and opportunities to program teams and senior leadership. Deliver comprehensive weekly, monthly, and quarterly variance analysis, identifying trends, drivers, and corrective actions. Own cost, schedule, and financial reporting activities, including funding analysis, tracking, forecasting, and reporting using standardized enterprise tools and processes. Perform detailed review and validation of EAC inputs, executive presentations, and proposal materials, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment to financial baselines and business objectives. Develop and implement structured training programs and quarterly finance bootcamps to elevate financial acumen across the organization. Lead cross-functional financial education and enablement efforts, supporting training and upskilling of program teams in forecasting, SRO, and EAC processes.

Requirements

  • Typically, requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and less than 2 years of applicable experience.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional organizations, including Contracts, Operations, Engineering, and other key stakeholders to drive business and financial outcomes.
  • Experience analyzing complex financial and operational data sets to assess portfolio performance, identify risks and opportunities, and drive corrective action to ensure alignment with cost, schedule, and technical plans.
  • Experience operating in a highly matrixed environment, effectively managing competing priorities while influencing decisions and outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data analysis), PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to translate data into executive-level insights.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance is required, as this role supports programs with access to controlled information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for U.S. Government security clearance access.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with SAP, APEX EV, and Business Warehouse (BW) or comparable enterprise financial systems, with the ability to leverage tools for analysis and decision support.
  • Experience within the Government Contracting (GovCon) or Defense industry, including working knowledge of government accounting standards and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements in both domestic and international environments.
  • Advanced experience analyzing large, complex datasets, identifying trends, variances, and actionable insights to support executive decision-making.
  • Strong Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience, including forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic financial support to senior leadership.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high-quality briefs, reports, and summaries for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
