About The Position

In addition to the responsibilities listed in the Regional Manager job description, the Senior position will be accountable for serving as a mentor, advisor, subject-matter expert, and coach to Regional Managers within the company while also working with the RVP and VP of Conventional on initiatives. The Senior Regional Manager position carries heightened accountability and added responsibility as compared to the Regional Manager, primarily based on tenure, relevant experience, and prior accomplishments of the incumbent.

Requirements

7-10 years of relevant industry experience.
Successful leadership and motivation of direct reports in previous roles and in senior functions.
Excellent time management and organizational skills as well as a professional attitude.
Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize.
Must have excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Ability to problem solve and think outside of the box.
Willing to travel as needed.
Professional written and verbal communication as well as great interpersonal skills required.
Customer service focused (i.e., generating accurate and timely results and effectively communicating to team members, co-workers, and management).

Responsibilities

Serve as a mentor, advisor, subject-matter expert, and coach to Regional Managers.
Work with the RVP and VP of Conventional on initiatives.
Participate in new business presentations and assist the Business Development Team with deliverables including but not limited to budgets, market studies and rent setting exercises.
Participate in the onboarding of new Regional Managers to include leading the preparation and execution of the Week 1 Agenda and continued mentoring of new PM’s to identify and provide any additional training or support needed through their first 90 days of employment.
Conduct one training call a month on various topics as directed by the RVP and Training Department.
Serve as a liaison between Operating Teams and the RVP to consolidate feedback and insight into company initiatives, operational process policies, and standard operating procedures.
Contribute to the growth and continued improvement of the Regional Manager job description.
Act as the key point of contact between Cardinal HQ, the on-site teams, and any third-party client or affiliated party.
Prepare and interpret reports necessary for auditing community performance.
Provide direct support to the Community Managers to ensure that all policies and procedures are followed according to best practice.
Monitor team member performance and act as an advisor for team member development and corrective action when necessary, including oversight of performance reviews.
Contribute to capital improvement projects as needed.
Participate in Cardinal U training as required and monitor Team Member participation in Cardinal U.
Maintain all operational community information: vendor contacts, employee rosters, budgets, marketing strategy, etc. on a weekly and monthly basis.
Faithfully execute the roles and responsibilities, to the best of his or her ability, of Manager, as outlined by the individual Property Management Agreements in-place between Cardinal Group Management and the ownership entities controlling all communities assigned to the Regional Manager.
Prepare for and participate in monthly, quarterly, or annual review meetings with the client.
Coordinate portfolio-wide adherence to client-required portfolio reporting processes, templates, and schedules. This includes, but is not limited to, the annual planning and budget preparation process, weekly and monthly reporting, and monthly financial reporting in partnership with the accounting team.
Collaborate with the other Cardinal Group team members assigned to client’s portfolio to generate portfolio-wide strategic operational, financial or investment recommendations for client consideration.
Serve as a liaison between Cardinal Group Management and other Cardinal Group Companies where those companies share clients, working to improve the level of collaboration and quality of execution for all shared projects, initiatives, or business opportunities.
Host regular internal team meetings among the client operations teams to ensure the delivery of consistent and high-quality service to the asset managers and communities under management.
Regularly work to increase the level of engagement, team member satisfaction and experience of all HQ and on-site team members in the client portfolio, with a focus on team member recognition, development.
