We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft. This position is onsite in Bell’s Facility in Wichita, Kansas. Rapid Prototyping Team, Tool Design This team is responsible for guiding the successful completion of major projects in support of strategic priorities and complex technical objectives. The Senior Rapid Prototyping Tool Design Engineer, either alone or by leading a team applies advanced manufacturing technical principles, theories and concepts to the development of innovative manufacturing technology on existing or advanced designs, concepts, processes, systems and tools. What you’ll be doing as a Senior Rapid Prototyping Tool Design Engineer: As a Senior Engineer in Rapid Prototyping, you’ll create and refine 3D models, apply GD&T principles, and design tooling for complex assemblies. Your work includes developing fixtures, molds, and additive manufacturing solutions while integrating small subassemblies into larger jigs. · You’ll perform surface analysis and scan data reviews to ensure precision and quality. Safety and ergonomics are built into every design to protect operators and improve usability. · Regular collaboration through Microsoft Teams meetings and design reviews with customers and build teams ensures alignment and successful project execution. · Directs customer facing experience in Assembly Tool design, Component Tool Engineering or NC Programming / Machining role · Effectively identify, report and resolve potential safety and quality hazards/risks. · Coordinate cognizant design engineering and integrated operation teams to perform producibility analysis and manufacturing trade studies to determine cost effective tooling solutions to complex manufacturing technical objectives. · Manage complex projects through a disciplined approach to initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing to achieve specific goals to specific success criteria.
