Previously employed applicants who have been gone from the organization more than 90 days may also be eligible. The Sr Radiology Technologist prepares patients for examinations and preforms diagnostic radiology procedures following standards and protocols set by OhioHealth and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). The position requires the technologist to perform procedures in more than one modality. Therefore, the technologist will be multi-modality trained and/or certified in diagnostics or dexa and one additional modality to include IR, CT, MR, US or Mammo. This posting is specific to Diagnostic Xray and Interventional Radiology (including the ability and desire to learn IR procedures and workflows through training at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital or other designated locations). The technologist will primarily be working in Diagnostics with some coverage in basic IR procedures. This position is four 9-hour shifts per week.

Requirements

  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • ORD - Ohio Radiographers - Ohio Department of Health
  • Graduate of an approved accredited radiography program.
  • Registered with ARRT.
  • Licensed to practice in the State of Ohio.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Conducts routine radiographic studies in diagnostics
  • Conducts routine and specialized fluoroscopic studies utilizing digital fluoroscope equipment; maintains proficiency in each of these areas
  • Provides radiation safety for operator and patient
  • Places patient in proper positions for procedures, adhering to department policy regarding routine.
  • As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.
