About The Position

As a Radiation Effects Engineer, you will lead GDMS efforts to ensure our designs survive and perform in their mission environments. You will be responsible for contributing to the technical success of the project as a member of the Radiation Effects Engineering team. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: space or nuclear radiation environments and modelling, radiation transport analysis, and/or radiation effects testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Clear understanding of natural and nuclear radiation environments and how to model them.
  • Proficient in radiation effects in semiconductor components, electronic circuits, and systems.
  • Creative thinker with ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success.
