About The Position

We are seeking a Sr. Radiation Control Technician to join our team supporting the Los Alamos National Laboratory! This position is full-time and will be based out of Los Alamos, New Mexico. Responsibilities: Performs the full range of RCT support activities and serves as the primary point of contact for planning, coordination of resources, and ensuring resolution of conflicting demands in highly dynamic and challenging conditions that require ability as a strong tactical decision maker. Ensures that radiological controls are correctly applied for radiological work, including high-hazard radiological work, by serving as authorized subject matter expert for development of radiological work control packages (RWCPs). Provides coordination of work area resources as needed to ensure safe and efficient operations. Fulfills customer radiation protection requests while ensuring established RP-1 priorities are followed. Works effectively with customers and supervision to resolve problems including elevation of issues beyond the ability of the RCT 4 to resolve. Anticipates problems and handles unforeseen issues. Provides technical leadership and review. Demonstrates excellence in safety and compliance to RCTs co-workers and customers.

Requirements

High School Diploma and 5+ years of relevant experience.
United States (U.S.) citizen.
Able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
