About The Position

At Pratt & Whitney, we are redefining aerospace and defense by driving innovation and excellence. The CMC (Ceramic Matrix Composite) Center of Excellence in Carlsbad, CA, is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven First Shift Supervisor to lead our operations technician team. This role is critical to ensuring that our manufacturing processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with our commitment to delivering high-quality products to our customers.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree is required with a minimum of 5yrs of experience with prior relevant in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 3 year in a supervisory role.
Or an advance degree with three years of experience.
U.S Citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

Advanced education or technical certifications are a plus.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards.
Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
Experience in aerospace, defense, or related industries.
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

Supervise, coach, and develop a team of operations employees on the first shift to ensure high performance and engagement.
Coordinate daily production operations, monitor workflow, and allocate resources to meet production schedules and quality standards.
Ensure all work adheres to company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), such as productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Implement corrective actions as necessary to meet operational goals.
